Toward a Migrant Inclusive Culture of Respectful Maternity Care.<\/p>\n Active\n Project page \u2192<\/a>\n <\/summary>\n \n Birth Forward leads RespectMi<\/strong>, a national initiative dedicated to advancing health equity and promoting culturally sensitive maternity care for migrant and refugee mothers in Cyprus.\n In collaboration with the Cyprus Refugee Council<\/strong>, the project aims to identify and bridge gaps in access to maternity care, empower minority women with knowledge about their rights, and equip service providers with practical tools to deliver respectful, informed, and culturally aware care.\n \n \n Through research, community-based empowerment programmes, and targeted advocacy, RespectMi seeks to amplify the voices of migrant women, strengthen alliances between civil society and health institutions, and contribute to a maternity care system grounded in dignity, inclusion, and human rights.\n \n Focus areas\n

    Mind the Mum<\/h3>\n

    Placing parental mental health and care to the forefront.<\/p>\n Active\n Project page \u2192<\/a>\n <\/summary>\n \n The Mind the Mum<\/strong> project focuses on improving Perinatal Mental Health (PMH)<\/strong> by addressing two major gaps:\n understanding how the perinatal period is experienced, and developing tools to support mothers. The EU-funded initiative brings together experts and grassroots activists from various countries to create systemic change and empower new mothers.\n \n Key objectives\n

          Cross-Border Collaboration for Maternal Mental Health in Crisis Settings.<\/p>\n Active\n Project page \u2192<\/a>\n <\/summary>\n

          Project Code:<\/strong> 2025-1-HR01-KA220-ADU-000358109<\/p>\n \n MOMental<\/strong> will improve maternal mental health support in crisis settings by equipping caregivers and mothers with new knowledge and practical tools.\n It will train peer-to-peer educators, healthcare professionals, and NGOs to provide better care while empowering women with accessible, evidence-based resources.\n \n \n Through international collaboration, the project will develop sustainable solutions that help women navigate pregnancy and early motherhood in difficult circumstances.\n The project will create a structured learning guide, a comprehensive training programme for caregivers, and an interactive Learning Hub for mothers and professionals.\n \n \n The Learning Hub will feature multilingual webinars, e-learning courses, and self-assessment tools, making mental health support accessible anytime, anywhere.\n These activities will provide practical, research-based guidance, ensuring that both caregivers and mothers can confidently address mental health challenges in crisis settings.\n \n \n By uniting partners from Croatia, Czechia, Cyprus, and Ukraine, along with UNICEF Croatia<\/strong> as an associated partner, the project aims to create a long-term impact.\n Women in crisis situations will gain access to sustainable, high-quality mental health support, fostering resilience and well-being across Europe.\n \n Consortium\n
